Born and raised in England, Johnny Grey is recognized as an internationally renowned kitchen designer. He has built dozens of kitchens for his clients, including celebrities like Sting. Johnny trained as an architect and has wide-ranging design interests, with a particular enthusiasm for the kitchen. His aunt, Elizabeth David, the renowned chef and author of French Country Cooking and Italian Food, was a strong, early influence. In the mid-1980s, he worked closely with the influential kitchen company, Smallbone of Devizes, and has since received major honors in the U. S. and Great Britain.
Johnny now runs an international design practice, in addition to maintaining a showroom at the San Francisco Design Center. He is the author of several books including The Art of Kitchen Design and Kitchen Culture: Reinventing Kitchen Design.
